Frequently asked questions

Most-common questions we get over the phone.

Do you actually answer the phone 24/7?
Yes. The central dispatch number is staffed around the clock. After-hours dispatch fees apply between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. local time, and that fee rolls into the job price if you accept the quote.
How fast can a plumber actually get to me?
Depends where you are. In the largest 30 metros, daytime response is typically 30 to 75 minutes. Smaller cities and rural areas: 60 to 120 minutes. Storm events and cold snaps lengthen these figures.
Do you charge a trip fee?
Not during business hours when you book the service. After-hours emergency calls carry a $79 to $149 dispatch fee depending on region. The fee folds into the job price if you accept the quote.
What if I want a written quote before any work?
Standard. Every job in our network comes with a flat-rate written quote before tools come out. Quote is good for 24 hours.
Do you pull permits?
Yes, when the job requires one. Water heater swaps, re-pipes, sewer lateral replacements, and most gas-line work require a permit. The fee is itemized on the quote separately from labor.
Can you bill my insurance directly?
We bill you directly and provide an itemized invoice formatted for insurance-claim language ("sudden" and "accidental" wording for water-damage claims). You submit to your carrier.
What about home-warranty companies?
Most home-warranty company reimbursement rates are too low to support a licensed plumber's real cost. We're typically not on their provider lists. You can pay us directly and submit your own claim — we'll provide the paperwork.
Do you guarantee the work?
Every repair carries at least a 90-day workmanship warranty. Parts carry the manufacturer warranty (1 to 10 years). Larger jobs like re-pipes and lateral replacements carry longer written warranties on the quote.
What's the cheapest plumbing job you do?
Honestly, anything under about $145 isn't worth the dispatch. For things like a flapper swap or fill valve, we'll tell you over the phone how to do it yourself in 10 minutes with a $12 part. We'd rather earn a future $800 sewer call from someone who trusts us.
Why are flat-rate prices higher than hourly contractors?
They're often not. Flat-rate just removes the gamble. Hourly contractors who undercharge upfront usually run the clock long enough that the final invoice matches or exceeds a flat-rate quote — except you don't find out until the work is done.
What if the job ends up bigger than the quote?
We pause, show you what we found, quote the change, and wait for your go-ahead. No surprise mid-job billing.
What about water-heater brands — do you install any specific models?
We install whatever you want, and we keep Rheem, AO Smith, Bradford White, Rinnai, and Navien on our trucks for same-day swaps in most regions.
Do you do commercial work?
Restaurants, multi-tenant residential, retail. For full-scale industrial or hospital plumbing, we'll do the immediate fix and then refer you to a commercial-specialist firm.
